The Auricle Collective is a group of musicians I’m honored to be part of. It was founded by the folks that succeeded in changing the GRAMMY category “Best New Age Album” into “Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album”, especially my dear friend Suzanne Sterling who introduced me to the group. We’re trying to broaden the horizons of musical genre, and to mutually support each other to get our music heard. I’m glad to see a fellow student at the Ali Akbar College of Music, Joss Jaffe among our ranks. Hopefully others will join, too.
The original wording of the proposal included the terms “devotional and spiritual music”, which resonated more with my existing releases and musical practice, but I’m still excited to be part of the collective! Perhaps my forthcoming album of “ouditations” will qualify as “Ambient”.
You are invited to join us in an experiment involving consciousness, community and commerce, analogous to striking a gong and letting the waves of sound ripple and echo.
The Auricle Collective is a community of musicians rooted in singing, chanting and music as art and spiritual practice. Our mission is to support, elevate and bring greater awareness of spiritual music worldwide.
It’s very simple: click here (https://auriclecollective.com/) to open the app we are sharing. You will be prompted to log in to your consumer Spotify account. The app makes it possible to follow all of the Auricle artists with a single click. It takes just five seconds.
Let’s see what happens!
If all of our worldwide fans do this, we will send a massive pulse to amplify the algorithms that recommend and feature music on Spotify.
Doing this will help to lift up your favorite artists, increase the visibility of many emerging artists in our community and introduce you to some amazing music you haven’t heard yet.
Instead of working for the algorithm, we will be making it work for us.
Please share the app with your friends and wider community.
Thanks for your support!
